Daniel Bauer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Washburn-McReavy Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Shoreview Funeral Chapel on Dec. 12, 2024.
Daniel Joseph Bauer, 60, of Cave Creek AZ, died Saturday, November 16, 2024, at St Joseph's Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He was born in St Cloud, MN on September 19, 1964, and was adopted by Walter Francis Bauer and Mary Jane (Heida) Bauer.
Dan graduated from Mounds View HS in 1983 then served in the Air Force as a U2 mechanic. He returned home and then joined the WI Army National Guard. Once again, the call to serve beckoned, and he returned to serve his country in the USMC as a F18 mechanic.
On February 18, 1991, he married Tracee Detwiler in Fresno, CA. They lived in Mission Viejo while stationed at MCAS El Toro. They returned to Minnesota and settled in Grant Township/Mahtomedi (1996-2006) while a co-owner of WF Bauer Construction. They then moved to Cave Creek and owned DJ Bauer Homes.
Survived by his best friend/wife of 33 years, Tracee; son, Bill; and daughters, Becca, and Jade (Mason); his sister, Barbara Zawadski (Steve); and nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law, Julie Olsen (Jim) and nephew.
Outdoors was his happy place. Riding his Harley and fishing his favorites. He loved to snowmobile, hunt, and shoot. Live music was his jam and he attended at least 1 concert a month in addition to following the local music scene. His love of family permeated every breath and decision he made. His passion for dogs was a gift and his Stella and Ebony miss him dearly.
