Daniel Gene Bringman

Daniel “Dan” Bringman, 73, of Fremont, passed away on December 7, 2025, surrounded by his family at home. He was born in Toledo on November 21, 1952, to Dale and Norma (Sturgeon) Bringman. Dan was a 1970 graduate of Woodmore High School. He proudly served in the Ohio Army National Guard from July 6, 1971, until his honorable discharge on March 5, 1977, earning the rank of E5. His commitment to duty was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends.

On April 17, 1999, he married Toni Painter at Freewill Baptist Church in Oregon, Ohio, and they celebrated 26 years of marriage until his passing.

Dan spent many years as a truck driver for Pitt Ohio, a profession he embraced until his retirement on November 21, 2019, cherishing the open roads and the journeys they brought.

In his free time, Dan found joy in simple pleasures—he loved cutting wood, relishing the thrill of NHRA drag races, and sharing cherished moments walking his beloved dog, Abby.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Toni Bringman of Fremont; sons, Joshua (Nicole) Bringman of Akron, Jeffrey (Amanda) Bringman of Clyde; step-son, Christopher (Nalynn) Damschroder of Oak Harbor; 9 awesome grandchildren; many wonderful great-grandchildren; siblings, Rebecca (Frank) Migilori of Woodville, John (Kim) Bringman of Perrysburg, Debbie (Dean) Egert of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Terry and Bob Bringman.

The family will have a celebration of Dan’s life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest, Ohio.
