Kevin F. Hesselbart

Kevin F. Hesselbart, 70 of Oak Harbor, OH died unexpectedly Thursday, December 18, 2025 at his home. He was born May 26, 1955 in West Virginia a son of the late Wilbur F. and Marilyn R. (Clarke) Hesselbart.
Kevin was a 1974 graduate of Woodmore High School. A man of many skills, he was exceptionally mechanically inclined. Throughout his career, he worked for ODOT and a local truck stop before joining the Ohio Turnpike at the Genoa location. While there he served as a diesel mechanic and was highly regarded by his supervisors for his expertise. He concluded his working years at the Oak Harbor Drive-thru, where he remained a dependable and dedicated employee for many years.
Beyond his professional life, Kevin was a talented musician who played the 12-string guitar and keyboard. He was also a spectacular photographer with a keen eye for detail.
On December 15, 1989 he married Kathleen A. (Rose), who preceded him in death on June 9, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his brother Neil Hesselbart and parents.
Survivors include his step-sons: Donald (Lisa) Hunter of Toledo, OH and Daniel Hunter of Boise, ID; brother Wid (Judie) Hesselbart; and nephews Justin and Grand Hesselbart.
A Service for Kevin will be scheduled at a later date and be held privately by the family. He will be buried alongside his wife Kathy in Elliston Cemetery.
