Daniel Brown Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory - Peachtree Corners Chapel on Aug. 23, 2022.
Daniel (Dan, Danny) Steven Brown, age 33, recently of Rockwall, TX, was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 9, 2022. Born and raised in Johns Creek, GA, Dan graduated from Northview High School in 2007, where he participated in wrestling and was a captain on the football team.
Following high school, Dan attended Auburn University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE) fraternity. After transferring from Auburn to Georgia State University, Dan received a degree in Information Technology, and took a position with Deeks and Company headquartered in Tucker, Georgia. It was while working at Deeks that Dan met wife and soul mate, Elizabeth, (nee O'Neil Mason). Eventually, this union produced a daughter, Mary Margaret, who was destined to become the bright light bathed in love that defined Dan and Elizabeth's relationship and motivation for a Jesus-centered life!
In 2019, Dan accepted a position with LITHKO Contracting, LLC, a Fortune 500 concrete construction company, and the family relocated to Dallas, Texas. It was just recently announced that, following a major promotion, the family was relocating to Tulsa, Oklahoma, a move that was in the process of happening when God called him home.
An avid outdoorsman, Dan enjoyed deer hunting, waterfowl hunting and bass fishing from his kayak. However, none of these adventures could compete with the adventure he and Elizabeth shared in raising their daughter, Mary Margaret. Even though their time together was short by most standards, the deep sense love and joyful exuberation imparted by Dan will hopefully serve as a guide and source of inspiration for Mary Margaret as she continues her journey in life.
Dan leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter Mary Margaret; Parents, Leon and Judy Brown; Brothers Jonathan and Alex Brown; Elizabeth's Parents Sharon and Bob Holcomb; Sisters-in-Laws, Ashleigh Brown, Tracy Goza, Beth Bridges; Brothers in laws Jonathan Goza, and Mark Bridges; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Dan's Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21 at Johns Creek Baptist Church, 6910 McGinnis Ferry Road, Alpharetta, Georgia 30005. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Johns Creek Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Shaun King, Senior Pastor of JCBC.
In lieu of flowers, and in tribute to Dan's legacy as an outdoorsman and waterfowl enthusiast, the family asks that donations be made in Dan's name to Ducks Unlimited so others may experience the same joys as Dan did in the fields and marshes of this great nation: https://www.ducks.org/support/donateOnlineSecure.aspx?promoKey=MemorialHonorGiving&ID=4889
