I knew Dan since he was a kid. He cut the grass Even then he manifested extraordinary maturity and friendliness. It was my pleasure to assist with his collegiate plans and his attainment of his degree. Into his life as a barber after a career with the Post Office it was my pleasure to be a regular at Dan´s barber shop. He was a terrific human being whom I will miss greatly.

I drove through Richfield Springs today and went to visit Dan at his barbershop today and wondered why he was closed on a Thursday. I had a place on the Canadarago lake for 12 years and Dan would cut my hair on Saturdays when I was at the lake. when I got home, I googled his name and his obituary came up. I feel terrible about his passing, so very young. I was actually hoping he had retired early. my deepest sympathy to Donna and his family. Dan was an exceptional man, with a moral compass in complete alignment. I will always remember him fondly.

My fondest memory of Dan is that on his regular visits to our house in Richfield Springs, he would give me a haircut and a beard trim, I was moved by his gentle manner, his good humor and his very genuine kindness. Dan always left a wonderful impression behind, long after he was gone. I find, sometime after his passing, that impression is still very much there. He was a lovely man. My wife and I think of him often.

Sincere Condolences. Barber Dan will be missed in this Village. He knew what was truly valuable: Faith, and all the good People in his Life. Dan didn't sweat the small stuff! He always kept a positive outlook with a quirky sense of humor. God Bless. -Kurt Zurmuhlen

Just a genuinely kind man. I remember going to his highschool graduation in the old school. Sending love to my family.
