Wesley A. Buddle, of Cooperstown, N.Y. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on December 12th. Wes was born at MIB Hospital in 1943, to the late Frank and Dorothy (Oakes) Buddle. He graduated from Springfield Central School in 1962, Shortly after, he married his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Linda Starr Buddle on August 25th, 1962. Wes was employed by the Clark Foundation as caretaker at the beautiful Mohican Farm overlooking Otsego Lake. He and Linda lovingly maintained the farm and gardens for over 40 years until his retirement. Wes also served on the Springfield Central School Board and the Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School Board after the merger. He also served as Town Justice for the Town of Springfield. After retirement, he and Linda and their son, Dale, spent winters in Florida. Wes was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda, his son Daniel, and his brother, Allan Buddle. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy (Mike) DePaolo, and his son Dale, also grandchildren Christine Morrison (Charlie) and Joseph Murphy, Jr. (Trina), as well as great grandchildren, Conner, Hope, Noah and Lynne Morrison and Taryn Murphy. Other survivors include his sisters Barbara Buddle, Christine Buddle Griffiths (Barry), sisters in law, Sandra Starr, Ann Buddle(Allan), and daughter in law, Donna Buddle (Dan). He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, from 10am to 12 noon with services to promptly follow at 12 noon at the Ottman Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Cherry Valley, NY Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, NY In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Cancer Treatment Center at Bassett Healthcare would be gratefully appreciated. Arrangements are under the care of the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, NY
