Daniel Howard Cahill, known to many as Danny, was born on November 25, 1963. He passed away at his home in Richwoods on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the age of 61. Danny was the beloved son of Dianne (Londe) Cahill and the late George Howard Cahill.
Danny had a passion for sports. He played on an adult hockey team and dedicated his time to coaching young boys in baseball. His love for older cars, especially his favorite 1963 Chevrolet model, was a notable aspect of his life. Music was also a big part of Danny's world; he particularly enjoyed heavy metal bands.
Danny was known for his good sense of humor. He often entertained family and friends by disguising his voice and playing jokes. Beneath this playful exterior was a caring heart, one that sought to support the homeless community.
Danny is survived by his mother, Dianne Cahill; his two sons, Sawyer and Clark Cahill; his sister Becky Andrews and her husband Mark; his nephew, Nigel Andrews; and his uncle Michael Klodt.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Cahill; his brother, George Cahill; and his grandparents, Dorothy Klodt, Al Londe, and Thelma Cahill. Danny will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
