Daniel E. Chacon, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on May 20th, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born to Dorothy Chacon and Albert Garcia on June 3, 1966, in San Jon, NM. Daniel was known for his warm heart and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Join us in celebrating his life on Thursday, May 23rd, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur. The rosary will be said at 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will be on Friday, May 24th, at 2:00 PM at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery.
Throughout his life, Daniel wore many hats, working various jobs and excelling in all he did as a jack of all trades. A member of a Pool Tournament team, his competitive spirit and love for the game shone through.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Garcia, Dorothy Chacon, his siblings, Clemente and Olivia Chacon, Linda Mortensen, Angela Jimenez, Albert "Joey" Garcia, Georgette Griego, and a niece, Sophia Dominguez.
Daniel is survived by his partner, Alejandra Romero; his cherished children, Angela Chacon, Danielle Chacon (Angel Maldonado), Marisella Trevino (Juan Trevino), and Jose Bran (Cecilia Bran); The mother of his children, Norma Chacon ; his sisters, Theresa Dominguez (Everardo) of Portales, NM, Audra Vaughn of Albuquerque, NM, Bobby Garcia of Panhandle TX, Crystal Garcia of Denver CO, Jessica Muller of Chicago Il, Valerie DeLuna of California and Kim Griegio Garcia, Denver CO; his brothers, Albert Garcia of Denver, Guadalupe Ulibarri of Denver and Art Noriega, Pueblo CO. His legacy lives on through his twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
