Retired Chief Petty Officer Daniel Dale Clephane of Paris, Michigan, passed away on August 8, 2025, after winning the ultimate healing from his cancer fight. Dan was born December 19, 1957, in Martinsville, Indiana. He married his wife, Carla, on April 26, 2003.

Dan enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1977 and retired in December 1994. He was a boiler technician and ended his career as a Chief Petty Officer. He also worked several jobs after retiring from the Navy.

Dan loved God and his family and loved nothing more than family camping trips and fishing on his pontoon.

Dan is survived by his wife Carla, his children: Andy Austin of Indianapolis, Indiana; Trista Holmquist of Paris, Michigan; Andrew (Jill) McDonald of Stanwood, Michigan; Tanya (Michael) Whiting of Morley, Michigan; Sarah Collins of Reed City, Michigan; and Genyfer (Emily) Traicoff of Morley, Michigan, his sister Marcia Rose Irving (Arthur) of Roy, WA, Brothers, Thomas Bryant Clephane of Fuquay Varina, NC and Phillip Patrick Clephane (Mil) of Brooklyn, IN, as well as 26 grandchildren who were his pride and joy, and several nieces and nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Harry Clephane; mother, Helen Clephane; siblings Steve Clephane, Linda Clephane, June and her husband Jim Snyder, and Michael Clephane, as well as a niece and several nephews and great nephews.

Graveside service will be held August 30, 2025 at 1:00pm at Parkhill Cemetery in Paris, Michigan, followed by Celebration of Life at 2:30pm at The Church of the Firstborn in Reed City, Michigan
