Daniel Coutley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Jun. 16, 2025.
Daniel (Dan) Robert Coutley
8/6/49 – 6/9/25
Daniel (Dan) Robert Coutley, age 75, of Waukesha, was born into eternal life on June 9, 2025 after successfully finding his way through the life he recovered to help others as a substance abuse counselor. Dan had a way of touching the hardest of hearts, companioning the loneliest of loners, and connecting with the disconnected. Dan gave the gift of hope in the shadows he so gently, gracefully, and willingly stepped into. Dan treated others the way he wanted to be treated. A legacy of love that will carry on in the lives he touched. Dan will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Mary; son, Lance; two sisters, Debbie and Cindy; two brothers, Bobby and David. Dan is survived by his best friend Julie Augur, and Eric and Brian Augur; grandchildren, Katie, Stephanie, Jennifer, Russell, and Madison; and brothers, Tim, Greg, and Mike. Dan expresses a special thank you to Julie Augur, the entire ProHealth Care Home Hospice Team, Chaplain Michelle, his dear AA family, and all the very special visitors he had while homebound, Steve, Malcolm, Dave, Bob, and Mary. Dan wished to give a shout out to his mentors; the late Wayne Sommer, Cheryl Collier, and all the WCMH co-workers he had the pleasure to work alongside.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dan!! I missed that you had made your transition to be with Lance and the Lord. Your suffering has ended, though you will be dearly missed. Thank you for being an integral part of my time at WCTC and an overall amazing friend/human being. I just truly can't say enough about you.
