Mr. Daniel “Dan” Alfred Valerio, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. 

Dan was born on May 26, 1944 in Greensburg, PA. He was the son of the late Mr. Daniel Alfred Valerio, Sr. and Gina Pietropaoli Valerio. Dan was retired but had been self-employed and worked as an Arborist for many years. He was a proud United States Air Force veteran. In his free time, he loved to travel and had traveled from coast to coast, over 10,000 miles! He also enjoyed learning about history. Dan was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly. 

Mr. Valerio is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sue Ann Howard Valerio of Rome, GA; son, Tony Valerio and his girlfriend, Lori of Woodstock, GA and brothers: Richard Valerio and his wife, JoAnne of Hannastown, PA, Robert Valerio of Irwin, PA. and Paul Valerio of Irwin, PA. 

A celebration of life to honor and celebrate Dan will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Salmon Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that you plant a tree in loving memory of Dan.
