OBITUARY

Dunn, NC

Daniel "Danny" Hardy Edwards, age 67 of McIntyre Lane, Dunn, died Wednesday Morning, February 22, 2023 surrounded by his family at his home.

Mr. Edwards was born January 29, 1956 in Sampson County the son of the late Ethan Needham Edwards and Eunice Daughtry Edwards and is preceded in death by his sister, Gracie McLamb and brothers, Jimmy and Glenn Edwards. He is also preceded in death by his special dog, Mattie.

Mr. Edwards retired from Good Year Tire Service with 35 years of service. Danny enjoyed gardening and spending his days on the tractor and being outdoors. He had horses, chickens and his beloved dogs. He loved going to the beach, boating, and fishing. He could play many instruments but his favorite was the Bass Guitar and he and his friends would get together regularly and play music.

He attended Abundant Life Worship Center. He was a family man who loved

God, his wife, sons, grandchildren and grand pups. He was comedian and jokester, who enjoyed life and making people laugh. Everybody that knew Danny, loved him.

He is survived by: His wife of 44 years: Lynn McIntyre Edwards of the home.

Sons: Daniel Elwin Edwards & (wife) Katie of Dunn, NC.

Adam Trent Edwards & (wife) Tiffany of Erwin, NC.

Grandchildren: Jaden Edwards, Lillian Edwards, Liam Edwards and Lucas Edwards

Sisters: Laura Edwards Barefoot & (husband) Richard of Roseboro, NC.

Janet Edwards Giddens of Clinton, NC.

Many Nieces and Nephews and the grand dogs.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2022 at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Chisenhall and Rev. Greg Tart officiating.

At his request Danny was cremated partial part of his cremated remains will be interred at a later date at Old Averasboro Cemetery in Dunn behind his home. Danny loved going to the beach with his wife Lynn some of his cremated remains will be scattered at the Pilings at the Sneads Ferry Bridge where they loved to fish.
