Daniel Lee Demeuse, 79, of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday evening, January 11, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Hospital.
He was born on August 19, 1946 in Perkins, the son of Albert and Alena (Alko) Demeuse. He was raised in Perkins and graduated from Perkins High School.
On September 19, 1964 Daniel married the former Sharon Anderson in Escanaba. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2022.
He was a machinist and roofer for the majority of his years, retiring in 2000. Daniel loved going to the casino, riding around "looking for deals", and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Daniel is survived by his children, Greg Demeuse, Todd Demeuse, Becky (Nick) Walker, Scott (Gerri) Demeuse, and Cory (Kayla) Demeuse; grandchildren, Derrick Demeuse, JJ Kolaske, Brandon Demeuse, Kendall (Dallas) McLaughlin, Kent (Robin) Dubord, Simone Demeuse, Tanner Demeuse, Danielle (Jeff) Moya, Cassandra Walker, Andy Demeuse. Allen Demeuse, Adam (Megan) Demeuse, Rochelle (Ryan) McCellan, and Tyler Demeuse; many great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Bob) Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Alena Demeuse; wife, Sharon Demeuse; granddaughter, Jessica Sarasin; daughter-in-law, Brenda Demeuse; and siblings, Elaine LaMarche, Jane Nickel, Betty Doneau, Velma Dubord, and Clarence Demeuse.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 24th from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Highland Golf Club, 3011 US-2, Escanaba, MI 49829.
