Daniel Dreibelbis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goldfinch Funeral Home - Carolina Forest Chapel - Myrtle Beach on Feb. 5, 2026.
Daniel Cleophas Dreibelbis Jr., 74, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on April 9, 1951, in Philadelphia,

Pennsylvania, to Daniel and Lucy Dreibelbis.

Dan grew up in Linthicum, Maryland, and fulfilled his dream of becoming an FBI agent,

serving honorably for 25 years with the Baltimore Field Office. He absolutely loved his

work and was known affectionately as "Dan Dan the Federal Man." His dedication to

Justice and service defined much of his life, and he took great pride in his work.

After his retirement and diagnosis with Parkinson's disease, Dan and his wife, Laura,

became active in Parkinson's research programs and advocacy groups. Dan and Laura

invested their time creating and obtaining grant funding for Parkinson's cycling and

Yoga classes that supported others fighting the disease. This work brought purpose and

relief to numerous patients and their loved ones. Additionally, they raised funds through

Pacing 4 Parkinsons, a volunteer-led initiative that raises funds and awareness for

Parkinson's disease research, patient care, and community outreach at the Johns

Hopkins Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center.

Above all else, he was a devoted husband and extraordinary father to his two sons. He

was their biggest supporter and proudest fan, always present as a coach and mentor.

His commitment to service impacted his sons: Ryan became an FBI agent, and Greg

became a U.S. Marine.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; his sons, Ryan (Kelly) and Greg (Rose); and his sister,

Gertrude, (Calvin) nephews Tom, Brian and Kurt and brother, Bill (Nancy).
