Richard Keith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goldfinch Funeral Home - Carolina Forest Chapel - Myrtle Beach on Jan. 27, 2026.
Richard Craig Keith ("Dick"), 76, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on January 8, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1949, in Yonkers, New York, to the late John Keith and Drusilla Murphy.

Dick found joy in riding horses and shared a special bond with his beloved horse, Gigi. As a young man he served in the United States military and then went on to become a successful entrepreneur, retiring early before answering the call to return to work in real estate in Myrtle Beach-a career he enjoyed for both the people and the sunshine.

A true jack of all trades, Dick had the rare ability to build, fix, and figure out just about anything. Most notably, he built his family's home from the ground up-a reflection of the care, dedication, and pride he poured into everything he did. He was also an avid tennis player, finding joy, challenge, and quality time with family and friends on the court.

Above all else, Dick's greatest priority was his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Lauren Keith, and a loving brother to Todd Keith, Lloyd Keith, and his sister, Drusilla Hugo. His love for his family was steady, deep, and unwavering.

Dick faced Parkinson's disease with remarkable strength and determination. His refusal to give up, even in the face of immense challenges, is a testament to his character and will forever be admired by those who knew and loved him.

Richard Craig Keith will be remembered for his resilience, his work ethic, his hands that built and repaired, and the love he gave so freely to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and perseverance.

At peace and forever loved.
