Daniel (Danny) Ray Eiler, 69, passed away on August 11, 2025 on the family farm outside of Oberlin,

Kansas. Danny was born on November 23, 1955 to Floyd and Mary (Perkins) Eiler in Oberlin, and was

raised on a farm north of Oberlin.

He attended high school in Oberlin. After high school Danny entered into a farming partnership with his

father for 25 years to raise cattle, wheat, and alfalfa. In 2001, Danny assumed full ownership of the farm

and continued his career in agriculture until his passing. In addition to managing the farm, Danny had a

second full-time career at the Decatur County Feedyard from 1976 to 2016 as a heavy equipment

operator and the manager of maintenance.

His family, friends, neighbors, and farm life were the most important things to Danny. He enjoyed

spending time with his family and rural life on the farm, as well as working with livestock.

He is survived by his brother Ron Eiler, Lawrence; half-brother Roger Perkins, Lees Summit, Missouri;

nieces Suzanne, Shelly, Stacey, and Melissa; great-nieces Kelsey, Sierra, and McKensie; and great-

nephews Kyle, Zachary, and Austin.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Sharon Perkins.
