Croley Funeral Home - GilmerDaniel Wayne Ellis, born on March 5, 1960, in Houston, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2025, in Big Sandy, Texas.
He was a devoted family man who worked hard throughout his life to provide for his loved ones. Daniel was known for his deep love for the Lord and family, which was evident in everything he did. He was an active member of The Church at West Mountain, where he contributed his talents as a keyboardist in the Praise Band, sharing his love for music with others.
Beyond his professional and spiritual endeavors, Daniel had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, finding joy in nature’s beauty. Above all, Daniel cherished spending time with his family, always prioritizing those special moments that brought joy and connection to their lives.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Ellis; son, Jordan Ellis; daughters, Rebecca Ellis and fiancé Layton Sanford, Brittany Chase and husband Duwayne, Sherri Branham and husband Julian and Jerri Lynn McCarty; brother, Steven Ellis; 11 grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Lee Ellis and Mary Ruth Williams Ellis and sister, Andrea Lynn Ellis.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in his honor on October 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at The Church at West Mountain.
