Nelda Tucker Obituary
Born on October 16, 1933, in Big Sandy, Texas, Gay was the daughter of Artie B. "Bus" and Ada Lenora "Nona" Gage Wilson. On September 14, 1951, she married the love of her life, Andrew Gene Tucker, with whom she built a beautiful life centered on faith and family. A devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church in Big Sandy, her life was a testament to her loving spirit and kind heart.
She is survived by her children, Andrew Paul Tucker and Dana Marie Tucker, both of Big Sandy; son-in-law Cris Stribling of Starkville, MS; and daughter-in-law Terri Tucker of Big Sandy. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Gay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Gene Tucker; her daughter, Dawn Elaine Tucker Stribling; her son, Stacey Gene Tucker; and her siblings, Lucy Joplin, Betty Richter, Rose Pearn, Artie Wilson, Lewis Wilson, and Melvin Wilson.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Hospice Plus (specifically her nurse, Kensi) and the dedicated staff at Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation for the exceptional care and comfort they provided.
Honoring her as pallbearers are her grandsons: Drew Stribling, Stephen Lucas, Tony Boudreau, Dathan Johnson, and Cole Rushing, along with her great-grandson, Jett Broderick.
