Daniel L. Everett

Daniel L. Everett, 56, of Providence, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Born on December 20, 1969, in New London, Connecticut, he is survived by his children, a sister and was the son of the late James Everett and Patricia (Price) Everett.

Daniel was a highly skilled and accomplished carpenter and master auto mechanic, Dan could build a car from the frame up, he had a gift with his hands and could fix or build just about anything. Of all his talents, those two trades were his greatest passions. He especially loved working on cars, building them trying different things out with them some of those things never done before by any other people.

Beyond his work, Daniel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved cooking, especially when it meant preparing meals for his family. He enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors, always at peace in nature. Dan was "rough around the edges" but also quick-witted and funny, he always made people laugh. He had a big personality and could come across as strong, but those who truly knew him understood that beneath it all, he was soft-hearted, tender, and deeply caring person. Once you were accepted by Daniel, you had his unwavering loyalty.

Above all else, Daniel's children meant the world to him. He worked hard to give them a good life and made every effort to be present and involved. He took great pride and joy in watching his family grow and welcomed the next generation with love and excitement.

Daniel is survived by his children, grandchildren, his beloved partner, a sister and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 25, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI. All other services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Davies Vocational School, designated to the Automotive Program, in honor of a passion Daniel held close to his heart.
