Daniel D. Fagan

Daniel D. Fagan, 83, of Latrobe, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at RNC of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg.

Born June 18, 1942, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Howard H. "Buck" Fagan and Mary L. (Dzujna) Fagan.

Dan was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe, where he volunteered in the kitchen for special events and was active with the St. John Seniors. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at Latronics and Westinghouse Industrial Ceramics. Dan was a long-time fireman for the Latrobe Volunteer Fire Department, Company No. 1, and a member of the First Ward Firemen's Club. He served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Diane S. (Bumar) Fagan, on June 7, 2020.

Dan is survived by one son, Daniel K. Fagan, and his wife, Bianca, of Greensburg; one daughter, Kimberly A. Matthews of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Madison (Gavin), Nathan, Emily, and Andrew; one great granddaughter, Stella; one brother, David H. Fagan, and his wife, Rory, of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews, and his loving dog, Molly.

The family would like to thank Westmoreland Hospital, especially Dr. Florendo and Dr. Walker, for their excellent care during his stay; RNC at Greater Pittsburgh for their phenomenal care and compassion; and Bridges Hospice for their compassion and care for him. For the involvement of these three groups in Dan's journey, the family is forever grateful.

At Dan's request, there will be no public visitations. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral liturgy at 11 AM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Mary, Mother of Mercy Mausoleum at St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
