Daniel Fleming passed suddenly and peacefully at his home at the age of 62. Born and raised in the Chicago neighborhood of Mt. Greenwood, Dan is survived by his children, Daniel, Sarah, Frankie Rose, and James and by his mother, Rose (nee Hummer) and siblings Denise (Pete) Toussaint, Dennis (Patti), Dianne, Bill, Debbie, Bridget (Dan) Brennan, many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John, and his brother, David (Geri).
Dan worked as a union sprinkler fitter for 40 years and spent much of his time in his favorite role of father to Danny, Sarah, Frankie, and James. Generous, funny, and quietly humble by nature, family and friends meant everything to him. Always thinking how he could best take care of the people in his life, Dan leaves a powerful legacy of love, loyalty, integrity, and laughter to his children and all those who loved and admired him.
Services for Dan will be private. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the American Heart Association
May his memory be a blessing.
