Fredericks, Daniel Harold, ("Dan") age 70 of Rochester, passed away on March 17, 2025. Loving Husband of Susan of 37 years; Beloved Father of Daniel Patrick, Ashley and Caitlin. Dan was predeceased by his Mother, Marilyn.
Dan was born in Detroit, Michigan, raised by his Mother Marilyn together with his Grandparents, Harold and Eileen Piggott. Dan spent most of his childhood growing up in Birmingham, Michigan, and graduated Groves High School. Dan attended Grand Valley State University having earned His Bachelors degree and The University of Detroit having earned his Masters.
Professionally, Dan retired in 2018 after a long dedicated 42 year career with the State of Michigan and Oakland County as a Probation Supervisor for the Oakland County Circuit Court.
Dan was a long time resident of Rochester and Rochester Hills. Dan's greatest happiness was raising his three children; Daniel, Ashley and Caitlin. Having been an only child it brought him immense happiness to raise a loving, happy and healthy family together with Sue. He enjoyed the wonderful blessing of his children and being involved in their sports, activities and schooling throughout their lives.
In the latter stages of his life, Dan courageously battled Parkinson's disease for 12 years. During this time he enjoyed the frequent company of Family and Friends. This disease was difficult for Dan because he had an extremely active lifestyle the majority of his life.
Dan's legacy will be remembered as an extremely special Husband, Father, Son and Friend to many people. He held an extremely special bond with his Family and Friends and will be terribly missed by all. We will hold him in our hearts forever.

Ashley, Mrs. Fredericks, Daniel, and Caitlin,

My heart is with you as you mourn the loss of your father and husband.

My name is Gracie, and I´m Ashley´s friend from college. I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Fredericks, but I know how much he meant to Ashley-she always spoke so highly of him and the love he had for your family.

My grandmother passed from Parkinson´s, so I know how heartbreaking and difficult this journey has been. Please know that I´m holding you all in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God brings you comfort and peace and that you feel His love surrounding you. Ashley, I am here for you always, and I love you so much.

With deepest sympathy,
Gracie
