Daniel J. Gaffney
April 20, 1956 - July 3, 2025
PULASKI, NY - Daniel J. Gaffney, 69, of Pulaski, NY; passed away on Thursday July 3, 2025. Dan was born on April 20, 1956, in Rome, NY to John and Rita Gaffney.
Dan was the owner and operator of Gaffney's Lawn Care. He also spent time coaching basketball in the Pulaski and APW school districts.
Dan was a lover of life. He enjoyed golfing, going on cruises with the love of his life Mary Kay, coaching basketball and most of all spending time with his friends and family. Dan was a friend to all. He had the unique ability to have a conversation with anyone about any topic. He loved telling you his stories as well as listening to what you had going on in your life. He also enjoyed collecting older beer items specializing in West End Brewery and Utica Club.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Rita Gaffney; and his sons, John and Christopher.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Kay Gaffney; his son Brandon Gaffney; his daughter, Christina Hoffnagle and a grandson, Ashton.
Graveside Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in Pulaski Village Cemetery. Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Ave. Mexico, NY.
