Daniel Gendron Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Campbell Funeral Home - Beverly on Dec. 14, 2025.
Daniel H. Gendron, 88, of Beverly, MA, passed away peacefully at Ledgewood Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation after a long struggle with dementia.
Born and raised in Beverly, he was a graduate of Beverly Patten Trade school in 1955 and specialized in cabinet making.
He served in the United States army and received an honorable discharge.
He worked as a machinist most of his life for The United Shoe Co., Black and Decker, and several other small shops in and around Beverly.
Daniel, fondly known as "Dan the Man" made Beverly his home. This is where he met his wife Sharon. He told her "buy me a beer and I'll walk you home". The rest is history. Together they built a life in Beverly with a quaint home in the downtown area.
Dan didn't have many hobbies, but he enjoyed the Patriots, Red Sox, George Carlin, eating beef (lots of beef), baseball hats, and walking around downtown Beverly. Saturday naps were also a favorite pastime. In his later years he was often found having lunch at The City Side Diner with his friends.
He is survived by his Daughter Danielle Broderick and her husband Timothy of Hamilton, MA
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Ledgewood Skilled Nursing, and Care Dimensions for their time and care during this difficult time.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Beverly Boot Straps. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
