Daniel Lee Goulette

The family of Captain Daniel Lee Goulette, 77, of Beverly Hills, Florida, announces that he passed away peacefully September 28, 2025, at his home. He was born in Montpelier, Vermont on September 28, 1948, to Francis and Rita (Shepard) Goulette.
Daniel met Janis Lavon Peck on October 29, 1986 and they were married a few short months later on January 17, 1987. Janis feels so fortunate to have spent the last 39 years with him.
He was proud to have served in the United States Air Force, first as enlisted, and then as an officer. He was known as Captain Dan to many, and as Little Dan to even more...."Little" was a term of endearment that he embraced as he was 6' 5" from a young age. He often said he had to compete for the sun amongst all the beautiful Vermont maples.
He was the middle son of Francis and Rita, and loving brother to David, Donald, Doug and Dale. He loved and was very proud of each of his three sons: Travis, Trent and Jared. His daughters in law: Kristen, Cindi and Kristina helped make his day better. His eleven grandchildren: Kieran, Calla, Mills, Gavin, Davis, Roman, Myles, Luke, Julia, Clara and Alexander brought a smile to Dan when he was around them, he was thrilled to be their Grandpa/Bupah.
Dan was an approachable, lovable giant of a man with a gentle touch who would always find a way to help anyone in need. A servant leader in the scouting community, Dan shared his expansive knowledge of ham radio, history, engineering, marksmanship, camping, and cooking with kindness that was an example to so many, scout and scouter alike.
Janis says "I loved Dan since the day we met on our blind date and will continue to do so throughout my lifetime. He had a very hard final year of life, I'm just glad I was able to spend the majority of my life with him."
Dan was very proud to be a Vermonter and knowing that he is home gives his family comfort.
A Remembrance Gathering and Interment will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM. in the Goulette family lot at Holy Cross Cemetery.
As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the charity of one's choice.
