Daniel Joseph Hagerty

Daniel Joseph Hagerty, 81, passed away at his home in Derry, NH on March 10th, 2021. Daniel was born in Boston, MA on May 13, 1939 to the late George Albert Hagerty and Gertrude L (Griffin) Hagerty. After graduating from high school Daniel joined the military and served in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, Daniel spent many years working as the Weigh Master for the Derry Transfer Station until his retirement. When not working, Daniel enjoyed staying in shape, bird watching early in the morning and spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed all the sweets he could, especially ice cream. He was a lover of country music and taken trips up to the NH mountains. Above all else, Daniel loved spending time with his wife Margaret. In addition to his parents George and Gertrude, Daniel was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Paul Hagerty. Daniel is survived and will be missed dearly by his wife Margaret Smith Hagerty, of Derry, NH, his brothers David Hagerty and wife Pat Hagerty of Hingham, MA, Jack Hagerty and wife Pat Hagerty of Glenburnie, Maryland, his sister Lois Ledwell of Falmouth, MA, his children, Daniel J Hagerty of Saugus, Ma, John Hagerty of Exeter, NH, Rose M Young of Lowell, Ma, Joseph P Hagerty, of Manchester, NH, Tina L Hagerty, of Lowell, MA, his three step children, Debra A Masucci, of Derry, NH, John McHale and wife Kimberly McHale, of Orange, Ma and Kim Gabryjelski of Manchester NH. Also 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover St., Manchester NH. Family and friends are invited to attend.
