Daniel Hammerash, 81, of North Belle Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, September 17. Born August 26, 1944 in N. Charleroi, PA, he was the son of the late William and Laura (Kwiatkowski) Hammerash. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon, he was retired from Whg-Pgh Steel, Allenport Plant where he worked as a Stocker, and was a member of the Belle Vernon Musical Society.

Dan was known for always having a nice car and always keeping it spotless. In his younger days he was a scratch golfer and most weekends he spent on the links, either in South Carolina or on the local courses. On Saturdays when the Pitt Panthers were playing at home, he could be found in Oakland at "The O" pre-game and then at the stadium.

He is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law: William J. and Gerri (Rathway) Hammerash. He is survived by two nieces: Shelley Battaglia of Port Matilda, PA and Tracey Scott of Perryopolis, PA and one nephew: William J. Hammerash Jr of Ellicott City, MD as well as 4 great-nephews, 5 great-nieces, 2 great-grand nephews and 1 great-grand niece.

Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery on Friday October 10, 2025 at 12 noon. Daniel’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.
