Daniel Garrett Hawse

Daniel Garrett Hawse, 39, of Jackson, KY passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. Daniel was born November 3, 1985 in Lexington, KY.

Daniel worked for the City of Jackson Parks and Recreation. He was a member of the Providence Pentecostal Church.

A man of many interests, Daniel especially loved fishing and cherishing moments with his beloved recovery family with whom he shared deep bonds and mutual support. His commitment to his recovery journey was admired by all who knew him.

Daniel is survived by a loving family: his mother, Donna Feltner Hawse; father, Donnie Hawse; maternal grandmother, Viola Feltner; son, Lindon Hawse and Lindon's mother, Shelby Ferguson; sister, Corie Raleigh (Dewayne); best friend, Tyler Deaton; niece, Gracie Minix (Damon); nephew, Lucas Raleigh (Chloe) and a host of aunts, uncles and recovery family members who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 starting at 11:00 AM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, KY with the funeral service scheduled for 1:00 PM the same day with John Tincher officiating. Burial will follow in the Raleigh Cemetery at Bethany, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

"I know that I know that I know that I know", "How blessed are we" and "This is God's plan" are some of the key phrases that Daniel would say when you had a conversation with him.

He will be deeply missed.
