Daniel Edward Johnson

Daniel Johnson was born on December 26, 1933 to the late Isham Johnson and Susie Hailey Johnson in Williamsburg, Virginia. He departed this life on November 14, 2024 in Plainfield, New Jersey.
Daniel obtained his formal education in Williamsburg, Virginia and graduated from Bruton Heights in 1952.
In October 1953, Daniel joined the Army and was deployed to Korea. He was discharged in October 1957. While serving in Korea he was a military policeman.
Upon returning from Korea, Daniel settled in Plainfield, New Jersey where he remained until his death.
He was employed with Lockheed Martin in Watchung, New Jersey for 31 years, retiring in 1989. Upon retiring from Lockheed, he worked at Phillips Van Heusen in Bridgewater, New Jersey for eight years.
In 1960, Daniel was joined in holy matrimony with Gloria A. Mitchell. They were married for 61 years until her death in 2021.
Daniel was an avid craftsman, he utilized his skills to create many projects. In addition, he was a master bricklayer.
Daniel is predeceased by his wife, Gloria; four sisters, Beulah Wallace, Suzanne Washington, Bertha Taylor, and Magurtha Lively ;five brothers, Sanford, Isham, Floyd,Wilbert and Artemis Johnson.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
