Mrs. Alice Viola Darsey Johnson, age 90, of Elko, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in Emory Hospital of Perry, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with visitation to begin from 2:30 until 3:20 before the service begins. Rev N. B. Goss, Rev. Sam Sellers and Rev. Steve McKuhen will officiate. Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Johnson was a native of Dodge County Ga. and a member of the Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was retired from civil service having worked in electronics. She loved cooking, canning fruit, flowers and Christmas time. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mollie Oxley Darsey; brothers, Amos Darsey, Malan Darsey and Larry Darsey; sister, Peggy Blackstone; daughters, Helen Jones and Janice Buice. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Julie Happoldt.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Katherine Waters, Frances Pate (Danny) and Alecia Leavens; sisters Lee Wilson, Ann Schwartz (John), Christine Allbritton (Steve) and Maxine Belflower (Kenneth Burris); 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Donations may be made in her memory to New Vision Ministries IPHC, 494 Unadilla Hwy., Hawkinsville, Ga 31036.
