Daniel Frank Kirby, of Stamford, VT and Ormond By The Sea, Florida, died on March 8, 2025.
He was born in North Adams, Mass., on October 8, 1954, son of the John Francis Kirby and Dorothy Mae (Fisk) Kirby. He attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1973. Daniel worked locally as a Plumber at St. Cyr Plumbing and Adams Plumbing & Heating. He was last employed with Dobbert Heating and Air Conditioning for 17 years as a Master Plumber.
He and Beverly enjoyed wintering in Florida in Ormond by the Sea. Dan was a big fan of NASCAR and dirt car racing. He enjoyed driving his antique cars, trucks and motorcycles.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beverly (Primmer) Kirby, whom he married on July 29, 1977; two loving children one son, John Kirby of North Adams, and one daughter, Laura Monson and her husband, Anthony, of North Adams, and; one granddaughter, Amiyah Monson; one brother, Christopher Kirby of Adams; two sisters, Jennifer Hoag Kirby of North Adams and Allison Kirby Lyons and her husband Reid Lyons of Grafton, N.Y.; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Kirby and Michael Kirby.
Funeral notice: Calling hours to celebrate the life of Daniel Kirby will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. A private service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for Tunnels to Towers Foundation through the funeral home.
