Daniel Robert Krage 42, of Brookings, SD passed away surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Funeral Service have been set for 1:30pm Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Rude's Funeral Home, Brookings, SD. Visitation will be from 12:30pm to 1:30pm Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Rude's Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 31, 2024 at Lakeview Cemetery, Columbia, SD.
Daniel Robert Krage was born June 23, 1981 to Robert Carl and Pamela Sue (Mehl) Krage in Brookings, SD. Daniel grew up in Volga, SD and Brookings, SD. He attended elementary school in Volga at Sioux Valley Schools.
He worked for 15 years at Brookings Hospital and more recently at Holiday Inn Express as a Maintenance Technician.
Daniel was happiest riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and going to the Sturgis Rally, never missing one until his cancer diagnosis in 2022, and spending time with his friends.
He loved to go deer hunting and fishing with his dad. He enjoyed kayaking, darts where he played in local leagues, bowling and playing pool.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Pamela Blair of Brookings, SD; his sister, Lisa (Dana) Mohr of Columbia, SD; his aunts, Carol (Jerry) Reed, Jackie Bjerkie and Marcy (Mark) Henle; his uncle, Jermitt Krage, as well as many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Krage; his grandparents, Herman (Speed) and Anna Krage, Harold (Hally) and Evelyn Mehl; his uncles, Orville (Pudge) Krage, and Jerry Reed; his aunts, Janice (Orville) Krage, Doris (Jermitt) Krage and Cathy (Norm) Haan.
