Daniel "Dan" James Masko, age 76, of Grand Haven, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Corewell Health - Blodgett Hospital. Dan was born on September 22, 1949, in Zeeland, MI to the late John and Betty (Westerhoff) Masko.
Dan graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1967 and attended Ferris State University before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Charles. A Conklin Post 28 and the Grand Haven Elks Lodge #1200.
Dan was the longtime owner and operator of Pioneer Printing Company, where he spent the majority of his career. Through his work, he developed many lasting relationships and greatly enjoyed connecting with people throughout the community. He took pride in his work and valued the friendships and conversations that came with serving local customers over the years.
Outside of work, Dan had a creative side and a deep appreciation for music and art. He enjoyed singing, playing instruments, and expressing himself creatively whenever he could. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course.
Dan will be remembered for his quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and the way he could make people laugh with his playful, sometimes slightly mischievous jokes. Above all, he was deeply devoted to his children and loved them greatly. His personality, humor, and the many connections he made throughout his life will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.
Dan is survived by his children, Paul Masko (Reyna Orellana), Robert (Brandi) Masko, and Sara (Brandon) Rydell; eight grandchildren, Kylie, Cruz, Kyiah, Rylan, Abigail, Ethan, Mason and Lily; great-grandchildren, Wailon and Walker; sisters, Linda (Craig) DeFeyter, Christine Masko, and Loraine (Larry) Doerr; brothers, Jack (Wendy) Masko and Mike (Rose) Masko; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
