Daniel Robert Moore, 44, of Barnegat, NJ, son of Kathleen and John W. Moore Jr., and father of Madalyn Moore, passed away on December 21, 2024 at Genesis Rehabilitation Center, after a long battle with M.S.
"Danny", Dan Moore is survived by his daughter, Madalyn, "Maddie" Moore, 13yrs old. He is also survived by his mother, Kathleen Cocchierella and stepfather Pat, his brother Ben, and his sister in law Erin, his nephew, and Godson Jacob, his two nieces Kelsey and Hannah, and his paternal grandmother, Helen.
Dan had a large family, and was loved dearly by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandfather.
Before being diagnosed with M.S., Dan was a foreman for heavy and general construction, Local 472 Labor Union. He also loved the outdoors. Dan enjoyed riding quads, fishing, going to the beach, and camping. His daughter, Madalyn was the light of his life! Spending time with her, making memories, watching her laugh, and succeed brought him great happiness.
Dan loved to surround himself with many friends. He found a very special friendship with Father John at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. They would go on many outings, and have meaningful conversations. This friendship brought a sense of peace to Dan's heart. Dan's family will always be thankful for the kindness, compassion, and love that both Father John, and the Parish of St. Francis of Assisi showed to him; strengthening his soul.
We Thought of You Today
We all think of you with love,
But that is nothing new
We thought of you yesterday,
And all the days before that too.
We think of you often,
And we also speak your name
We have our memories with you,
And keep your picture in a frame
Your memory is a keepsake,
Which will never part
God has you in his keeping,
And we all have you in our heart!
Philippians 3:14-
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me Heavenward in Jesus Christ.
