Daniel Howard Mork

Ava, Missouri

Daniel Howard Mork, 72, passed away peacefully at home, where he wanted to be surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 5, 1953 to Marvin Clifford and Thelma E. (Hoffman) Mork.

Daniel and Carol Denney were united in marriage on May 5, 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Daniel was a hardworking, family-driven, God-fearing man who lived his life with purpose and love. He was always there to help his children and grandchildren navigate life’s challenges, offering guidance, support, and steady encouragement. Family meant everything to him, and his legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Mork and baby brother, Dwayne.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Mork; his children Stephanie (Nick), Jarrod (Sara), William, Kerri, and Jamie (Dawn); 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Thelma, his sister Donna (Dave), and his two brothers, Dennis and David (Judy).

Daniel will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and faith.

— 1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Daniel will be buried in the Denney Cemetery. Cremation services for Daniel are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri.
