Daniel Andrew Moruzzi, Jr. of Bridgewater passed away on May 24th, 2023, after a period of failing health. He was 76.
Daniel was born in Brockton on November 24th, 1946, and was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, growing up in the Stanley section. He enjoyed childhood summers spent tenting with the family in Brant Rock, going to county fairs in the area, and loved all things Italian.
He graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham High School in 1965. In 1968, he joined the U.S. Army serving with the 68th Armor Division until 1970. He worked at Advanced Auto in Bridgewater for many years prior to his illness.
He had a great love of horses and rode his own for several years after he left the army. Daniel also enjoyed trying his luck at the slot machines in local casinos.
Daniel is predeceased by his father, Daniel Andrew Moruzzi, Sr., his mother Dena (Giovannini) Moruzzi, and older brother Raymond Carasetti. He is survived by his sister Lillian Veronesi of Bridgewater, his brother John Moruzzi of Leverett, MA, his sisters-in-law, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
At Daniel's request, there will be no visiting hours or services. Burial will be private at the discretion of the family.
Daniel's family wishes to thank the caring medical teams at the West Roxbury and Brockton Veteran's Hospitals for their outstanding kindness and support during his recent illness.
