Daniel Nelson, Sr. was born in Fayette County W.V. on April 13, 1947 to Virgie Ellison and Frank Nelson.
He went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM surrounded by his loving wife and their loving family.
He was preceded in death by Jerry Nelson, Larry Nelson, Eddie Nelson, Billy Nelson, and Vicky Nelson;
Those left to cherish his memory are as follows; his loving wife, Judy Nelson; his brother, Allen and Mabele Nelson; daughter, Leighann and Brian Hornsby, Nicolas and Courtney Hornsby; Morgan and Zachary Hatfield; Tina and Kelley Carson, Dan Nelson, Jr.; Kenneth and Angela Morrison, Judy and Gary Shiflett; Ashley and Thomas Gibson, Wilma Nelson, Gwen West, and Cheryl Nelson; He is also survived by multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Mr. Nelson wishes he will be cremated.
