Terrell G. Nelson, Sr., 88, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Friday morning, May 16, 2025, in the comfort of his home with wife by his side.
Mr. Nelson was born March 20, 1937, in Columbus, GA, son of the late Clarence Nelson and Bertha Lola Akins Nelson. He served our country proudly for 23 years and was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. After his retirement, he was employed with the Civil Service at Fort Benning, GA serving as a Supervisor of Transportation for many years of committed service. His career and future were presented with the opportunity to stay in the same service field where he became an operator of Bi-City Towing until his retirement with his son, Tracy, continuing to operate the business that had been successfully built.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Betty Corrine Nobles Nelson of Phenix City, AL; sons, Terrell Gene Nelson, Jr. and wife Debbie of Columbus, GA, James Robert Nelson and wife Loretta of Wichita, KS, and Tracy Nelson and wife Shirley of Phenix City, AL; daughter, Serena Gail Price and husband Donnie of Fort Mithell, AL; grandchildren, Jason Nelson, Tracy Nelson, Jr. (Veronica), Christina Peardon (Ricky), Travis Nelson, Lori Schrecengost (Derick) and Kassi Lane (Waylon); great-grandchildren, Tristen, Breelyn, Marie, Jessica, Lily, Abby, Justin, Rylan, Taeley, Hudson, Harper, Jordan, Jacob and Willow; great-great-grandson, Lyon
The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers, Buffy and Robert.
A private celebration will take place on a sunset of remembrance by his loving family where he will always be remembered, loved, and never forgotten.
