Daniel Patrick O'Brien, age 75, of Elmhurst, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Kelly O'Brien (Teri Marinelli), his siblings, Michele McGovern, George (Mary Ellen) Chirempes, and his stepdaughter, Angela Wolski.
Danny was born and raised in Bellwood, IL and raised his family in Elmhurst, Il. He obtained his barber license in 1973 and went on to open his own shop, Magic Scissors, in Oak Brook Terrace, IL, retiring in 2019. Danny was known for his humor, his kindness, his love of animals and the Chicago White Sox baseball.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Carmelita "Millie" Chirempes, his brother, John O'Brien and his stepson, Joe "Joey" Kafka.
A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. at the Elmhurst American Legion, 310 W. Butterfield Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126.
