Obituary of Daniel Gene Olin
Daniel Gene Olin was born June 10, 1957 in Phoenix, Arizona to Clarence A Olin and Barbara E Lawson.
He passed away on Feb 3, 2023 in Phoenix, AZ at the age of 65. He was born the eldest of five children and is survived by his siblings David, Paul, Leah and Lois, his daughter Danielle, his son John and his grandson Carter. He was preceded in death by his father and survived by his mother Barbara, who unfortunately passed 4 days after he did.
After high school he played semipro baseball before he served his country as an Airman, then the city of Phoenix as a police officer.
In life Dan loved having fun, goofing around and playing little pranks with his friends and family.
Dan was a strong willed and outspoken man who knew what he wanted and would go to the end's of the earth for those he loved. He was a very intelligent man with a creative side. Some of his hobbies included DIY projects and he had a passion for sports. He loved playing baseball, softball, basketball or golf, listening to sports radio and teaching his kids his skills. Some of his favorite things outside of that were playing in the water, suntanning and Mexican food. Some say his favorite thing about life was his love for his family and friends, he tried to do anything he could for them. He always tried to be there to help his kids with life in general. About 3 years ago he also became an amazing grandfather that would often step up to help before he was even asked. He will be missed deeply by many.

Hey neighbor I sure do miss you. Ironically, my students just asked me "when you were going to make cookies again"?, . You were a good man. Rest In Peace, Dan. I know you are with Jesus now.
