Daniel Penn, of Mentone, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on August 10, 1960, to Grover Penn and Corene (Richwine) Hansen, Daniel lived a life marked by his deep connections with family and friends, as well as his warm and approachable personality.
His life was filled with simple joys, including hanging out at the Bulldog Saloon, where he enjoyed spending quality time with loved ones. Daniel's friendly spirit endeared him to all who knew him, and he will be remembered for his warmth and genuine interest in others. He was a man who loved engaging in conversation and had the unique ability to make everyone feel important.
Daniel's devotion to his family was evident in how he spent his time, always prioritizing moments with those he loved. He was a cherished father to his children: Trisha (Tim) Vosberg, David Penn, and Susan Penn. Daniel also embraced an extended family through his stepchildren, Heather Banghart, Jeremy (Donna) Hassel, and Jonathan Brown. His legacy will continue through his many grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. Daniel is further survived by his mother, Corene Hansen, and sisters, Sue (Andrew) McClanahan and Sherry Penn. Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Penn, his father, Grover Penn, and his brother, RC Lee Penn.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Warsaw is entrusted with Daniel's care. Visitation for Daniel Penn will be held at the funeral home, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw, IN, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Titus Funeral Home.
