Daniel Petrasek, 84, of Clifton, passed away on February 21, 2024. Born in Krempachy, Poland, he came to the US in 1960, settling in Clifton for 13 years. Later, Daniel was a resident of Passaic for over 45 years, returning to Clifton in 2021. A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Daniel was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol. Daniel worked for Coining Technologies, Inc., in Clifton for over 35 years, retiring as a Quality Control Supervisor in 2003, and was an avid gardener.
Daniel is survived by his daughter Michelle Petrasek and her partner Paul Komorek, his brother Milan Petrasek and his wife Patricia, his nieces and nephews Jaime Yaktin and her husband Thadd, Kari Puzio and her husband Paul, Matthew Petrasek, Laura O'Leary, and his cousin Eva Frank. Daniel is predeceased by his parents John and Mary Petrasek, his brother and sister in law Edward Petrasek and his wife Eileen, and niece and nephew Donna and Mark Petrasek.
Visitation and Services were private under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.StJude.org or Angels of Animals, Inc., PO Box 534, Clifton, NJ 07013, www.angelsofanimals.org in memory of Daniel, would be greatly appreciated.
