Daniel J. Polidan

POLIDAN, Daniel Joseph -- Age 63, of Fenton, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at his home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, September 16 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Monday, 3-5 and 7-9 PM Tuesday, with a 7:30 Vigil service Tuesday evening at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Family and friends will gather at the church after 10 AM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton Community Fund (c/o Sharp Funeral Homes) in memory of Dan and Julie, to be used for education. Dan was born February 20, 1946 in Flint, the son of Joseph and Adeline (Runge) Polidan. He had resided in Fenton his entire life. He was a 1964 graduate of Lake Fenton High School and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He married Rita Price on April 19, 1968 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He retired from G.M. Buick City. Surviving are: wife Rita; two children, Steven D. and wife Keila of Greenville, SC, Jill M. and partner Crystal of Holland; four grandchildren, Noah and Myranda Stark, Madison and Maxx Polidan; twelve sisters and brothers, Delcie, Patricia (George), Thomas (Jan), David (Gail), Michael (Colleen), James (Renee), Linda (John), Becky (Ken), Toni (Ray), Fred, Tim (Becky), Kris (Mark); brother-in-law, Rocky; several nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Roberta Featherston; and daughter, Julie Stark.
