With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Daniel Ray Munguia, who left this world far too soon on November 11, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Daniel was born on November 15, 1988, and throughout his life he carried a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew him.
Daniel was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend whose presence brought warmth, humor, and comfort. He had a gift for making people feel understood and supported, whether through his words, his compassion, or simply his calming presence. In his final months, Daniel showed remarkable courage. Surrounded by family, especially his brother Adrian, who stood by him every step, Daniel faced each day with dignity and grace. Their bond deepened through every doctor's visit, quiet conversation, and moment of care. Adrian was by Daniel's side as he took his final breath, holding his hand and carrying in his heart a connection that will never fade. Daniel had a favorite word "Lovely." He used it in his own memorable way, a small reflection of
how he saw the world and the people he loved. His family will forever hear that word in his voice, embracing it as a reminder of his kindness and the beauty he brought to life's simplest moments.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Armandina Munguia of
Seminole, Texas; his father, Ricardo Munguia and wife/stepmother Anna Smith of Seminole; his brother, Adrian Munguia and partner Brad Holmes of Austin, Texas; his brother, Jason Munguia and partner Robert Ramos of Austin, Texas; his brother, Michael Munguia and wife Michaela, along with Daniel's beloved niece Maddie Munguia and nephew Micah Munguia of Burlington, Colorado; and his beloved sister, Sarah Munguia of Seminole. He also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends who loved him deeply. Daniel's life teaches us to take each day as it comes, appreciate the small moments, and love without hesitation. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing his spirit is at peace and his legacy of kindness and grace will live on in every life he touched.
