Daniel J. Rizzi

Daniel J Rizzi of Waldwick passed away on July 5, 2017 after a hard fought, life long battle at the age of 49. Danny or Dan, as most knew him, was raised in Hillsdale and was a graduate of Pascack Valley High School. An avid sports fan, Danny had many passions in life, but none more important than coaching his daughters throughout their childhoods. He touched the lives of many and left smiles on the faces of most who knew him either through his work as a plumber, his passion as a coach or his dear friendship. He was a devout husband and a proud father, a beloved son, a loyal brother and a cherished friend. Danny loved his sports teams which included the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins. Danny was also a devoted member of Christ Community Church, where he utilized his singing talent. He is survived by his wife Jo Anne, three loving daughters, Danielle, Jaden and Sage. His mother Phylis Rizzi-Rooney. His father Joseph Rizzi. His brother Darren. And many loving nieces and nephews. He will also be joining his grandparents in heaven along with his step father James Rooney. Danny's life will be celebrated on Sunday July 16 at the Christ Community Church in Waldwick NJ from 3-8pm. A funeral service and burial will take place on Monday July 17 at Christ Community Church in Waldwick at 10am with cemetery to follow. The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Christ Community Church in Waldwick in the name of Daniel Joseph Rizzi.
