Daniel Lee Schuyler, 75, of Lapel, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Advent Health in Sebring, Florida following a brief illness.
He was born on May 12, 1949, in Anderson, Indiana to George and Mary lou (Sedwick) Schuyler. He was a 1967 graduate of Lapel High School.
He retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 30 years of employment. He was also a farmer.
He was a member of the UAW Local #663 where he was the benefits representative. He loved Massey Ferguson tractors. He also loved canning, farming and eating popcorn.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Schuyler; a sister, Sharon McDermit of Lapel; a brother, Richard (wife, Cathy) Schuyler of Lapel; nieces and nephews, Brian Schuyler, Dustin Schuyler, Stacy (husband, Nathan) Wainscott, Beth (husband, Chase) Merrell; great-nieces and great-nephews, Henry Schuyler, Hugo Schuyler, Percy Schuyler, Christian Schuyler, Annie Schuyler, Makella Schuyler, Madison Wainscott and Cooper Merrell; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Schuyler.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Aaron Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
