Daniel Emory Sellers

Daniel "Dan" Sellers, passed away in Mobile, AL on August 2, 2025. He was born to Dewey and Doris Sellers on March 9, 1938, in Dothan, AL. Dan was a professor in many colleges throughout the Southeast in their departments of Pathology and Audiology. He would eventually retire after a 30-year-long career with the University of South Alabama, as the Dean of Allied Health. Dan thoroughly enjoyed retirement by traveling to numerous countries including Russia and Canada. He also had a second chance at love and companionship when he married his loving wife in 2003, Laura. Dan had an eye for photography, a talent for music and a passion for cats. He played the hand bells beautifully and was involved in many church choirs and activities throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all those lives he touched.

Dan was preceded in death by his late wife, Juanita "Nita" Porter Sellers, his parents, Dewey and Doris Sellers and his brother, Warren Sellers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Laura Marie Sellers, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with visitation from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
