Cousin Danny referred to my husband Ken; as Cousin KennySmall (all one word).
Even though Kenny was 12 yrs older than Danny; the two of them enjoyed their times together growing up and into adulthood.
Danny´s smile and laughter, always took over a room; "that was Danny"! We have so many happy memories of him.
Sending all our love to Cousins Jeannie, Betsy and the Family,
~The Small´s

I am sooo, so sad to hear about Dan's passing...
We trained together in jiu-jitsu for years, and he was just the sweetest person. We´d talk about photography, life, and whatever we were dreaming up next. He loved photos, stories, and capturing moments.
The first photo I took of him was the black and white one at Helix Jiu Jitsu for their opening day. He told me he was mocking me with a sarcastic face because I kept taking photos but it turned out to be one of his favorites of all time. He loved that he looked like Sam Elliot in it.
One of my personal favorite memories is when he volunteered to model for a fall shoot with his wife. It was such a sweet, joyful session, just like him. He showed up with so much heart, so much kindness, and such an easy warmth that made everything feel lighter. I didn't really have to direct much, I'd just tell him to love on his wife which he gladly did and the photos show it which is exactly what I wanted to capture that day.
I feel so grateful I got to know Dan. He will always be remembered fondly for me. Such a sweet friend.

I am so grateful and honored to have known Danny since I was little. He was one of my dad's, Al Parker, best friends since their days at KSU up until my dad passed two years ago. I picture them up there laughing and playing guitar together on their identical Martin's. I would always look forward to seeing Danny on campus on May 4th when I attended KSU. I got the biggest kick out of watching all of the guys hanging out and loved hearing their stories. The last time I saw Danny was on May 4th two years ago and I cherished every moment. What I remember most about our talks that day was how much he gushed over Jeannie and him talking about how very much in love he has always been with her. He told me all about the day they met and how they became a couple. Though we didn't talk often, I will always miss him very much.

We have known Danny and Jean since college. We were in the Karate Club at Kent, Ohio and all of us kept in touch all these years. We will miss his wit and kindness and our weekly conversations on the phone. May 4th was always something to look forward to because we all got together. We are so beyond sad and send our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

I really cant say anything more about my good friend than what has just been so beautifully written.
Danny .. we have been friends since i was 14.. so many stories & memories of old & some new as Danny came back to Kent for May 4th & we would get together resharing old memories & making new ones . Danny loved my dogs & my horses & speaking Spanish to those at tge stables !
Danny loved life & people & animals & all his old friends. I will miss his routine phone calls & messages of well being & care..
I'm sure Danny & Michael are together again... best friends..
I was told the French never say " I will miss you "..instead they say
" you will be missing from my life "
