With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel E. Steiner, a cherished father, brother, and friend, who departed this life on August 6, 2025, in Milford, Ohio, at the age of 86. Born on September 9, 1938, in Rittman, Ohio, Daniel dedicated his life to both his profession and his passions, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, craftsmanship, and adventure.

Daniel was an esteemed engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he contributed his talents and skills to meaningful projects that enhanced the quality of life for many. His analytical mind was complemented by a creative spirit; he was a talented woodworker and a stained glass artist, whose creations brought beauty and warmth to those who encountered them.

Beyond his professional achievements, Daniel found immense joy in being on the water. Whether boating, canoeing, or fly fishing, he cherished the sense of serenity and connection to nature that these activities provided. These moments spent outdoors were a testament to his love for life and the beauty around him.

Daniel was preceded in death by: his parents Vernon & Katherine Steiner, wife Edna Ruth Steiner, one sister and one brother.

Daniel is survived by his devoted son, Todd (Gloria) Steiner, and his loving daughter, Lisa (Agnes Steilberg) Steiner, as well as his brother, Art (Lou Ann) Steiner, and his companion Charlotte Ray. Together, they honor his memory and the values he instilled in them throughout his life.

Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family with a celebration of life taking place at a later date.

Evans Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
