It was your birthday yesterday! Happy birthday! I miss you so much and I hope you are looking over me and all of your loved ones. I graduate in about 22 days and I'm going to college to become a police officer. You would be so proud of Lacy too she is doing really goo and overcoming a lot of struggles in her life. I hope you are having a ball with your brother up there!!! I'm pretty sure you guys have had plenty of WWE fights with him haha. Please look over me and my family and help us through everything. We all miss you very very much! I still have not taken off the bracelet I got at your wake the only time I take it off is when I play softball or when I take a shower, otherwise it stays on my wrist!. I am going to come visit your grave this weekend now that the snow is finally gone! I can't wait to see you again Dan you will always be in my heart for as long as I live! You have been gone for almost a year now, but for almost a year you have been in our hearts and in our minds. I have yet to take off the bracelet I got in memory of you at your wake last year. I look at it every day and say a short prayer for you.
Just the other day I was telling my boyfriend about you. How you and Terrence mended me with lime jello and hugs and kisses when I was in pain. All the fun times I got to experience with you and my brother. Making me breakfast after an amazingly fun (lol) night at T.J's place. I was telling him you were like a big brother to me and how much we all loved and still do love you.
You are missed so very much. I hope you are looking down on all of us from up there sittin back with Brian and petting my pepper.

I hope you seen the balloon we released for you on your birthday Dan. It was kind of neat because when the balloon was way up, a military helicopter flew by it. Gave a tear to my eye and I had goosebumps. Oh and I did a shot of tequila for ya buddy. Miss you lots. Lacy is really having a hard time with this. Please watch over her.

To Dan and the Sweeney Family,
Dan was a great guy. We hung out all the time at TJ's in middle school and he was always a fun guy to be around. You guys should be so proud of the son you have raised. He is one well respected man and a very good friend. A lot of us strugglin to get through this as we know you the family are too. I have known Dan through my daughter Lacy and he has been apart of our lives for a long time. I was never more proud of him as when he stopped by our house a couple months ago when he was home and had such a wonderful talk. He was proud to be a Marine,proud of his neice and turned from a teenage boy to a wonderful young man. He will be forever in our hearts.
